Delia Bellaby
Architect/ Director

Delia studied Architecture at Edinburgh University and worked in London & Dublin before emigrating to New Zealand nearly twenty years ago with her Kiwi partner. Delia has worked across a variety of architectural disciplines from high-end housing to master-planning commerical developments. She is passionate about great design and its potential to enhance the lives of all who experience it.  Delia  strongly believes that great architecture must be people focused and follows a collaborative design approach with her clients, consultants and construction teams. Her love of the natural environment is increasingly influencing her work, with sustainable design practices, such as optimising building performance and selecting low impact materials, becoming key focuses of the practice.

Elizabeth Norris ( Guthrey )
​Architecture Graduate

Elizabeth has been working for Design & Make Architects since 2021 as a graduate Architect. She has a passion for reducing the energy demands of buildings and lowering their carbon footprint. Delia and Elizabeth have a common interest in natural building techniques which has brought her to work in this practice. Elizabeth is a Certified Passive House Designer and Homestar Assessor. Elizabeth worked at the main office in Manapouri for the first year and is now located in Christchurch City.
